Background: Born in Hawaii, Hanini had a close relationship with the ocean. He lived there, swimming and surfing every day until the age of 13, when his father passed away, and his mother got a job in Dakota. Hanini made friends easily, as the other students found a surfer from Hawaii to be interesting. He joined the school Swim team, and tried to stay out of trouble, but the loss of his father still weighed on him. Three years later, he's a junior at Dakota High, and has plans to swim for DU after graduation next year. Or so he thinks...

Background: Amira had a bit of a reputation at the school, though none of the rumors have been confirmed. She's known as a bit of a tease. In truth, she just began developing earlier than most of the other girls and well, you know how that can go. Boys started giving her things in hopes that she would give them something in exchange, and when she didn't, the rumors started flying! This shaped Amira's views on men and society early, teaching her that men weren't to be trusted, but could easily be used. Her appearance was a tool that she could take advantage of to get things she wanted or needed. Senior year was going to be great! But everything was going to be changing soon...

Appearance: Her mahogany wraps around her curvy plus size frame that she often hides beneath  baggy clothes. She has jewel green eyes that highlight her dark brown curls that cascade down her shoulders.  
Power: Portals that open based on symbols she draws onto stickers.

Background: Hattie always felt suffocated by her parents Christianity. Growing up in the hood, religion  seemed to be the only thing that mattered to them. But she never felt as they did stuck in those stuffy pews. Then, due to her failing health, and her grandmother  was brought to live with them. She then comes across  a special book of voodoo in her grandmother's things.  She hides in a quiet corner near the docks so that she can look through  the strange symbols.

Appearance:  Black with shoulder-length, locs usually tied up above their head in a top knot. Cloudy-pale blue irises. Usually wears streetwear and big bright glasses.
Power: Controls glasses, and can crush and fuse silicone into glass. And increase the density of glass.

Affiliations: Runs the Glitter is Golden a tech firm out of his basement apartment
Background: They graduated with honors and decided that tech was the way to go instead of going to school. They definitely have an easy-going way of interacting with people but, they definitely have a side few others see which might be a little less confident, a little less out there, and a little less robust.

Appearance: Theo has a haunting look to him, tall and thin and skin as dark as night. His haircut is a simple fade, and his outfits usually revolve around the blood-orange color scheme of his former gang. Since the Big Bang, each of his eyes have polycoria, sporting two pupils each as if they're splitting apart.

Background: For the majority of his life, Theo's been alone. A mother that disappeared after he was born and a father that was hardly ever sober enough to be called 'present', the young man learned to fend for himself at a very young age. Survival was hard, though, and doing it alone was even harder, and it was these factors that led Theo to join his neighborhood's gang: The Monarks. They became his family, and Theo would put his life on the line for them countless times in the following years. As such, the Big Bang was just another day... until it wasn't. And now, for the first time in a long time... Theo is alone again.

Appearance: 5’4 and thick, brown butter caramel skin, wildly curly black hair with an undercut that is usually left to float like a cloud around her face when it isn’t pulled up. her eyes usually look almost black behind her small square glasses with a dark green tint, she is usually dressed in dark, monochromatic colors.

Power: (If Any) She can recognize patterns in the world around her to the point that she is able to predict future events accurately 72% of the time

Background: (Before the Big Bang) Jayce has been a major teachers pet/nerd/since she was a child, with an eidetic and photographic memory that allowed her to create an internal method to be able to learn and recall anything she has ever seen or read. Raised by her uncle (a local professor) after her parents were killed by a drunk driver when she was 6, she planned to follow in his footsteps and pursue a doctorate in some obscure history field - but knew that she would never be able to afford to do that on her own. She started using her talents to bet on sports and other legal items, and shortly before the Big Bang had drawn the attention of bigger fish.
